Islamabad United is most successful PSL team, a complete surprise package for the other teams. although ISU are race out from the PSL 5 Playoffs but ISU have ability to come back. Islamabad united already won the PSL title 2 times consistently back in 20017 and 2018. Asif Ali is main player having average 25 with the strike rate of 106 plus. Islamabad was do a most significant trade as they swapped Luke Ronchi for England’s T20 opening batsman Alex Hales. ISU use their wildcard platinum pick on Hasan Ali, who had played for Peshawar Zalmi in 5th edition of PSL. With the arrival of Hussan Ali in the team, the overall bowling approach will change this time to wicket taking. Assistant coach Saeed Ajmal are happy with drafting and think they completed their business. as they want to do. ISU is always a competitive team but how much, it will determine in the tournament.
The reigning PSL champions Karachi Kings and most competitive team in PSL 5 now eyes on PSL 6 trophy. They definatly try to keep the PSL Title once again on their name. They include great all-rounders in Mohammad Nabi and Dan Christian to make unbeatable team. The most successful and ICC number 1 ranked T20 batsman Baber Azma already in th squad. Baber Azam play a important role to win PSL final with his 50 plus score. The Kings aren’t particularly a squad of stars but team management have strong game planing sense. They will be up there again this season; however, they may come up short this season against sides that have dramatically added to their squads. Karachi Kings looks balance & assembled team having strongest squads in the league.
Lahore Qalander is most unsuccessful team proven but recently got form in PSL 5 when they reach in final but unlucky defeated by Karachi Kings. Lahore Qalanders roped in world’s best T20 bowler in Rashid Khan that helping LQ to make strengthen spinning department. Rashid Khan from Afghanistan is brilliant T20I player that recently play IPL as well. Lahore release Chris Lynn that also world’s most experienced T20 batsmen but Lahore team selectors have own vision. The Qalandars have plenty of options available from squad and they can try different combination, however, they may be lacking in the middle order. We have see in many matches where LQ got good start from top order but lower order now finish properly. But some time a average team win the tournament with team spirit, unity and believe. Lahore Qalanders fans expecting a great performance and may be this season LQ perform and won a maiden PSL Trophy.

Last time when match Multan Sultan team play match against Peshawar Salmi in National Stadium Multan then crowed is unbelievable. Multan sultan most experienced team in this tournment and they also trade Braithwaite and Chris Laynn and rope in the team .MS involves power hitters in teams showing that they want game changer players & firepower batting players to smash the opponent nay time. MS lost in both eliminators in PSL 5 but they are top team in 2020 on points table. Hope they will be thereabouts again this season and lift the trophy.
Peshawar Zalmi perform many changes this season and only retain five players. they release others players for trade others side. After 2017 PSL win PS team performance goes down so head coach sammy & director involves new players and try with different approach. Peshawar finished last season’s competition at 4th place and lost in the opening eliminator. Releasing all-rounder Hasan Ali who playing for Peshawar from 2015 start of the PSL indicating PS engagement comes with different mind set. Peshawar Zalmi include South Africans batsman David Miller to their squad, to make middle orer strong. They also added the world’s number two ranked T20 bowler in Mujeeb Ur Rehman. So PS become very balancing team with best spinning attack. Mohammad Akram, the Peshawar Cricketing Director, said that their aim in the draft was to strengthen their middle order. While Peshawar Zalmi has made some excellent signings, their squad lacks depth, and hopping best performance from players this season.
Former PSL winner Quetta Gladiators team (Shane-Pakistan) not qualify playoffs last year and finsh season with fifth-placed on point table. QG looking to bounce back after disappointing campaign. Quetta not only trade England’s batsman Tom Banton, also swapped Shane Watson with T20 legend Chris Gayle. Moin Khan the director said that the draft went exactly the way they had hoped for. Quetta have a fine mixture of youth and experience which is sign positive mindset approach. They have also supplemented the talented Cameron Delport who scored fastest PSL century, could be a significant coop for them. This team combination looks amazing and tremendous. Although Sarfaraz Ahmed has struggled with his form but Quetta has the best batting line up in the tournament. Quetta always lack in bowling department, but with presence of Dale Styen blowing attack become better. Dale Styen and Anwer Ali will lead the bowling department while Muhammad nawaz will try to stop flood of runs wh have best PSL bowler economy. Quetta Gladiators may be this year’s winners. What you say! 🙂
